How do I get help?
Most people we see at Oasis-Talk are referred to us by Bristol Wellbeing Therapies Service or South Gloucestershire Talking Therapies, local organisations that work with the NHS to assess patients as well as offering them various kinds of help. You can contact them yourself to arrange an appointment with them or your GP can do this for you.
Once you’ve been seen by either of these services for initial help, they may refer you on to us at Oasis-Talk for one-to-one therapy or a group workshop. We provide our services from doctors’ surgeries and community venues across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
You can contact South Gloucestershire Talking Therapies by telephoning 0117 378 4270 (if you live in South Gloucestershire) or Bristol Wellbeing Therapies Service by telephoning 0117 982 3209 (if you live in Bristol). Alternatively, you can visit their websites:
Our services are funded by the NHS so you won’t have to pay anything for the help we give you.
You can find out how we will use any data about you here.
Oasis-talk is no longer offering private therapy services. If you would like to access private therapy there are many alternative providers that ensure access to fully qualified and regulated practitioners. The websites provide information about therapists working in your local area and enable you to search for therapists with expertise in the area of your need. These include, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the British Psychological Society (BPS), the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and The Counselling Directory.
