What we’re about

“Over many years, we have seen many people turn their lives around through talking therapy.”

“We are passionate about quality therapy being available to all people of all backgrounds, and to get everyone the right type of therapy. That’s why over 97% of our clients have been satisfied or very satisfied with our services.”

Widening Access

“As a social enterprise, we aim to make a positive impact on the mental and emotional well-being of our local communities in Bristol, Bath, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.”

“We are creative in using the available resources to reach people who need talking therapies. We offer private fee paying services to those who can afford therapy and use all other resources to fund low cost or free counselling and well-being services through our community projects.”

Person-centred approach

“It is important that the therapeutic approach fits the person and the issues they bring. One size does not fit all. This is why we offer a longer first assessment and therapy session (Therapeutic Consultation) and offer a range of different ways of working.”

“Because we want therapy to be as effective as possible, we seek frequent feedback from people using our services. They tell us what is working and what isn’t so their therapy can be adjusted accordingly. Some go on to help us design future services for their communities.”

“We place a lot of emphasis on training and supporting our staff so that they can deliver their best work for our clients. As part of encouraging the personal development of our practitioners, we ask them to develop their practice through supervision, ongoing training and research.”
